I am a 4th (rising 5th) year Ph.D. student in the Operations Research department at Columbia University. My current research focuses on dynamic optimization and stochastic control. I am fortunate to be advised by Professor Vineet Goyal. Here is my CV.
Before coming to Columbia, I received my M.S. in Decision, Information, and Communication Engineering (DICE) from the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department at the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) in 2020. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Physics from National Taiwan University (NTU) in 2018.
I am broadly interested in how strategic agents interact with an unknown environment in a dynamic setting. Below are a few topics that excite me.
Sequential Decision Making under Uncertainty
Stochastic dynamic programming
Approximation of large scale Markov Decision Processes
Inference in sequential environments
